Robust D subminiature SMT connectors offer secure mounting, double shielding

Offering improved robustness and reliability, the D-Sub SMT series subminiature connectors provide secure mounting accessories to protect from inappropriate handling, such as pulling out of nuts and bolts or metal house stripping. Large-surface soldering brackets ensure a high retention force on the board — a key criterion for SMT components. In addition, a double shield connection ensures a reliable continuous grounding contact between the board and the metal protection collar.

The series, with male and female connectors, is available with Eurostyle (3.6 mm) assembly heights and 9, 15, and 25 pins. A 37-pin Eurostyle variant and versions with Standard (7.3 mm) and US Style (6.3 mm) assembly heights will be introduced at the end of 2014. Mounting accessories on the mating side are thread and bolt (M3 and 4-40); on the terminal side, solder brackets.
