The OM-CONV-SER is an RS-485 half-duplex-to-RS-232 converter. It measures just 2.4 x 1.3 x 0.6 in. and is powered from the computer’s serial port so no external power is needed.
The device operates from –50° to 70°C and can handle data rates up to 115,200 bits/s. Its transmission distance is 4000 ft on the RS-485 side and 15 ft on the RS-232 side. ($25 — available now.)
