The SP3495E, SP3496E, and SP3497E high-speed 3.3-V RS-485/RS-422 transceivers feature 32-Mbit/s operation with standard pinout and compatibility with current 20-Mbit/s applications. The devices load the data bus only half as much as a standard RS-485 unit-load, and take just 1 µA in shutdown.
Each IC contains one differential driver and one differential receiver. The 8- or 14-pin SOIC-packaged chips operate from –40° to 85°C and have separate enable pins for the driver and receiver. All inputs and outputs have ESD protection, and bus pins are protected up to ±15-kV HBM. ($1.25 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
