Rugged 10/100Base-T Enet RJ-45 connector arrays suit volume production

Designed for 10/100Base-T Ethernet telecom, data, networking and home entertainment applications, the ARJC05-240008 and -280008, multiport RJ45 connectors are low-profile devices with durability rated at 750 cycles. Through-hole mounting provides a strong connection and easy assembly to the end-user’s PCB to promote high-volume production.

The ARJC05-240008 is a 2 x 4-port connector measuring 59.0 x 25.2 x 28.2 mm, while the ARJC05 -280008 is 2 x 8-port array that measures 115.0 x 25.2 x 28.2 mm. The RoHS-compliant multiport package design allows several RJ45 jacks to be placed on a circuit board as a single element, addressing space constraints. Compliant with IEEE 802.3 specifications, the connectors have a minimum inductance of 350 µH and maximum insertion loss of 1.0 dB, over a 1 to 100-MHz frequency range. The jacks suppress electromagnetic interference and improve signal isolation using a shielded design that minimizes noise interference from adjacent parts, and operate over a 0º to 70ºC range.
