The HVI 2K-750/24 high-input-voltage dc/dc converter generates 2 kW of output power. It accepts 750-Vdc input voltage (525 to 975-Vdc range) typically required for mining locomotives and mass transit vehicles such as trams, metros and light rail. The standard unit delivers 24 Vdc, with other output voltages available on request. An optional built-in redundancy diode allows for units to be connected in parallel to achieve higher output power or n+1 redundancy.
The converter meets the requirements of EN50155 for electronic equipment used on rolling equipment and it meets EMI requirements of the EN 50121-3-2 standard. A conformal coating provides immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, and airborne contaminants. It is fan cooled and rated for -25 to 45C, with wider temperature ranges available.
