Rugged PMC card handles comm tasks

The SPMC/DPMC-214 rugged PMC mezzanine card offloads host processor cards from CANbus, MilCAN, and Utility Bus processing tasks and is available in both air- and conduction-cooled versions. Software support includes BSPs for VxWorks, Linux, and Windows.

The card provides four CANBus ports or four MilCAN ports along with the U.S. Army standard Utility Bus (optional) and 16-channels of TTL I/O, using dual ColdFire MCF5485 processors. It uses a 32-bit 33-MHz PCI bus and 5 V at 1.2 A. (From $2,095 — available now.)
