Delivering endurance and performance necessary for data center applications at lower cost, the 710 Series of solid-state disk drives use advanced MLC NAND flash and High Endurance Technology (HET). The 100-, 200-, and 300-Gbyte drives have 75-μs/85-μs read/write latency, 128-bit AES encryption, and 4K random read/write performance of up to 38,500/2,700 IOPS.
The cost-effective drives have nearly the same endurance as SLC-based NAND SSDs. They achieve write endurance of up to 1.1 petabytes, with 20% over-provisioning. The drives use a SATA 3-Gbit/s interface and come in a 2.5-in. industry standard form factor. MTBF is 2 Mhours and power is 3.7 W typ active and 0.7 W idle. ($649, $1,289, and $1,929 — available now.)
