Scope probes tackle high-speed DDR

With models available for 8, 10, and 13 GHz bandwidth WaveLink scopes, the Dxx30 Series differential probes offer a high input dynamic range of 3.5Vpk-pk and large offset range of ±4V, suiting them for measuring high-speed DDR signals, such as DDR3, DDR4, and LPDDR3. The probes are available as modular components or complete systems.

The probes come with two solder-in leads (Dxx30-SI) rated to the full bandwidth of the probe amplifier. Each tip has a field-replaceable terminating resistor located extremely close to the tip’s contact point to minimize inductance/maximize resistance for minimum loading over a broad range of frequencies. A square pin lead, rated to 3 GHz, is also standard. Options include Dxx30-SMA-SMP-LEADS set for SMA/SMP cabled connections, the Dxx30-PT-KIT 10-GHz browser tip with pogo pin and connection accessories (an XYZ positioner, connections for several types of positioning device, and a handheld wand), and the WL-PLINK-CASE kit, with carrying case and platform/cable assembly that connects to the probe amplifier. (Complete systems from $9,663 to $11,193 — available approx. 6 weeks ARO.)
