SCSI devices interface via PC's printer port
Using a specially designed SCSI host adapter, PC users can connect any
SCSI device to a PC's parallel printer port. The adapter is available
either as a single chip for embedded applications or as a custom
controller with power supplies and batteries. Features of the device
include automatic 4- or 8-bit selection for use with standard output-only
printer ports or newer high-speed, bidirectional ports, advanced EPPS
support, automatic SCSI pass-through mode, and optional automatic
termination. The adapter board requires 2 mA, while the controller chip
requires less than 1 in.
