Ideal for space and power constrained EW, ELINT, DF, Radar, ECM, and IFM systems, the HMC-C088 SDLVA module features 250-V ESD rating. The module operates over 1 to 20 GHz and features miniature connectorized module packaging.
Also ideal for pulsed signal applications requiring high amplitude accuracy, the part is a broadband SDLVA device that converts RF signals at its input to an output voltage that is proportional to the logarithm of the RF input signal amplitude. The module employs a successive compression topology, which delivers a high logging range of 59 dB and allows for the processing of high level signals up to 5 dBm. During typical operation, the HMC-C088 provides a nominal slope of 14 mV/dB and a typical intercept of –119 dBm at 10 GHz.
The HMC-C088 also provides high value for laboratory and high reliability applications and is capable of processing RF pulses with amplitudes from -54 dBm to 5 dBm with less than 10 ns rise/fall times, and with only 21 ns of recovery time.
The HMC-C088 exhibits frequency flatness of better than ±2 dB at -30 dBm input power, while logarithmic linearity is less than ±1 dB. It also features an integrated voltage regulator that allows operation from a single supply voltage between 7 and 16 V without any appreciable change in performance. It consumes only 1 W from a 12 V supply.
The HMC-C088 is supplied standard with two female SMA field replaceable connectors, but can also be used with blind mate SMP connectors or as a drop-in module. Specified for operation over the full –55° to 85° temperature range, the HMC-C088 is housed in a miniature connectorized package with 1.086 x 0.85 x 0.23 in dimensions.(Contact company for pricing and availability)
