Sealed tact switch handles harsh environs

A new version of the KSA through-hole subminiature tact switch is available in a variety of configurations including vertical and right-angle mounting, top- or side-actuated, and with a soft or hard actuator. The sealed switch uses new plastic materials and suits detect and other demanding environmental applications.

The tact switch can be configured for harsh environment applications and can be adapted for different PCB thicknesses. Designed for automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, and telecom networking applications, the RoHS-compliant switch offers up to 1,000,000 operations and an actuation force from 1.5 to 5N. ($0.16 to $0.50 ea/10,000—4 to 10 weeks ARO.)
