Security chip protects connected electronics

The OPTIGA Trust P (SLJ 52ACA) 16-bit Common Criteria EAL 5+ certified programmable security controller chip provides a flexible solution for authentication, secure updates, key generation/storage, protected storage, memory integrity, secure boot, and access control management. It uses public key cryptography to support both one-way and mutual authentication for anti-cloning applications.

The IC has a MMU and encrypted bus, 150 Kbtyes of flash, a unique chip ID, a symmetric & asymmetric crypto engine, a random number generator, and support for RSA, ECC, AES, TDES, SHA, and DH/ECDH cryptography. It comes in a VQFN-32 (5 x 5mm) package and its system interface is a 400 kbit/s ISO7816 UART.
