Sensing resistors offer values down To 25 mΩ

Thermally efficient HPC Series resistors incorporate thick film chip resistor elements and accommodate resistance values down to 25 mΩ. Tolerances are as low as 1% and the dielectric withstand voltage is 800 V. The devices withstand short time overloads of up to 50 W for several seconds and short pulses to 2,500 W.

The compact surface-mount resistors measure 0.5 in. square by 0.4 in. high, and can dissipate 5 W through an aluminum housing in free air. The design suspends the thick-film resistance elements above the board, minimizing the thermal effect on the PCB. (From $1.30 to $1.75, depending on resistance value and tolerance — available now.)
