Serial controller handles 8 ports
The SAB 82538 can replace four two-channel controllers. Its features
duplicate the two-channel ESC-2, with a transfer rate of 10 Mbits/s
synchronous and 2 Mbits/s asynchronous. The controller supports
multimaster buses, as well as X.25, LAPB, ISDN, LAPD, HDLC, SDLC, ASYNC,
