Servo amp drives multiple motor types

Servo amp drives multiple motor types

Delivering up to 20 A (continuous), the AMC-2400 servo amplifier can
drive brush, brushless dc and ac, variable reluctance, and ac induction
motors. Using a three-phase current loop, the amplifier can operate in
either a trapezoidal or three-phase sinusoidal mode. For brushless and
variable-reluctance motors, the AMC-2400 accepts two- or three-phase
current command input for position feedback. Hall-effect sensors,
incremental encoders, or resolvers can also be used. Protection provides
for low voltage, over current, over temperature, shorted motor, rms
current limit, and regenerative fault. LEDs give amplifier status
indication, and a potentiometer gives torque-limit control. The enable,
forward limit, and reverse limits are optically coupled. The device
measures 10.5 x 6 x 4 in. ($695–2 weeks ARO.) Advanced Motion Controls,
