The CX24230 digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T) demodulator and CX24210 worldwide terrestrial and cable tuner form a complete high-performance front-end for set-top boxes, PC video capture cards, and integrated digital televisions. The demodulator includes an MCU and memory, firmware to ease the software development task, a 12-bit A/D converter, digital adjacent channel filtering, and enhanced forward error correction.
The tuner supports DVB-T, ATSC, PAL, NTSC, and SECAM standards and complies with global cable specifications including DOCSIS(R) 2.0, EuroDOCSIS, and DVB-cable (DVB-C). The demodulator comes in a TQFP64 package and the tuner in a QFN48. (Chipset, $5 ea/10,000, —samples available now.)
