SFP+ controller-monitor meets latest standards
The DS1873 SFP+ controller-monitor with analog LDD interface provides full compatibility with the SFF-8472 specification. It pairs with the MAX3736 laser driver to provide APC loop control, modulation current control, and eye safety functionality.
Laser modulation is controlled by a temperature-driven lookup table (LUT). Two additional 9-bit DAC outputs with 36-entry LUTs are provided. The IC monitors temperature, Vcc, and MON1-MON4 values. It operates from –40° to 95°C and come in a tiny 5 x 5-mm 28-pin TQFN package. ($1.39 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
