Sheathed thermocouples withstand molten metals

Suited for measuring temperatures of non-ferrous molten metals, NEP-TX series thermocouples come in a ceramic sheath of Omegatite 650 — an SiN-AlO alloy that provides electrical insulation, mechanical strength, nonwetting for most non-ferrous metals, and resistance to thermal shock, corrosion, and abrasion.

The K- and N-type thermocouples are rated for up to 1,250°C and come standard with a cast-iron NEP-TX connection head and 1¼ NPT fitting. Sheath diameter is 28 mm, and standard probe length is 475 mm; custom lengths and dual-element probes are optionally available. (From $875 — available 4 weeks ARO.)
