Platinum Tools has unveiled shielded connectors that come integrated with Hi-Lo stagger load bar, thus allowing big conductors to pass through the front end of the connector. That, in turn, makes it easy to verify the wiring sequence before terminating.
The new ezEX-RJ45 shielded connectors are designed for larger cables and conductors. They are typically used with either Cat6 or Cat6A cables and are terminated with EXO Crimp Frame and EXO-EX Die (100061C).
Amid faster data speeds, twisted-pair cables like Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A are expanding in size to accommodate more bandwidth, so the outer diameter of the cable and the insulation diameter of the conductor are getting larger and vary by manufacturer. That makes the compatibility between cable and connector a critical challenge.
Platinum Tools’s answer: the new patented EXO crimp frame. It’s an RJ45 crimp tool that can terminate multiple sizes of cables and conductors. The crimp frame highlights two interchangeable dies that work with EZ-RJ45 and ezEX-RJ45 connectors.
