Part of the Datamate family, the S-Tek hi-rel connectors have single-piece, machined-metal backshells that protect against EMI/RFI interference, allowing them to be used for I/O applications as well as PCB-mount designs. The backshells are designed to attach to a wide variety of standard metallic braids and enable the shield braid to be connected through the backshell to the PCB ground plane. The S-Tek connectors are available in female cable-to-PCB-mount and female cable-to-panel-mount configurations in sizes including 6, 10, 14, 20, and 26 positions.
The Datamate family is rated for operation between –55° and 125°C with a vibration sensitivity of 10 to 2,000 Hz, 0.75-mm, 9 8 mm/s2 (10 g) for 6 hours. Bump severity is 390 m/s2 (40 g), 4,000± 10 bumps, shock severity is 981 m/s2 (100 g) for 6 ms, and acceleration severity is 490 m/s2 (50 g). The connectors are guaranteed for 500 operations.
