SiC diodes boost solar power efficiency

The 8-A rated STPSC806D and 10–A STPSC1006D SiC Schottky diodes target 600-V applications including converters for solar power systems, and supplies for servers and telecom systems. They have zero to negligible reverse-recovery charge and enable an efficiency boost to applications.

The diodes reduce power-supply switching losses. Junction to case thermal resistance is 2.4°C/W, reverse leakage current of 20 µA at 25°C and 150 µA at 150°C. They are available in a TO-220AC package. (Ea/10,000; STPSC806D, $3.90 and STPSC1006D, $4.90 — available now.)
