SiGe mixer offers high linearity, low noise

The MAX2044 upconversion/downconversion SiGe mixer provides 32.5-dBm input IP3, 8.5-dB noise figure, and 7.7-dB conversion loss for 2,300 to 4,000-MHz LTE, WiMAXK, and MMDS wireless infrastructure applications. With an ultrawide 2,600 to 4,300-MHz LO frequency range, the mixer can be used in either low-side or high-side LO injection architectures for virtually all 2.5- and 3.5-GHz applications.

This device includes a double-balanced passive mixer core, an LO buffer, and on-chip baluns that allow for single-ended RF and LO inputs.It also provides a 2RF-2LO performance of 68 dBc (with a –10-dBm RF tone). Housing is in 20-pin TQFN packages and operating voltage is from a single supply of 5.0 to 3.3 V. (From $5.95 ea/1,000 — available now.)
