SiGe Semiconductor Enables Wireless VoIP in Samsung Wi-Fi Phones

SiGe Semiconductor, Inc. today announced that its Wi-Fi® RF front-end technology enables wireless voice capability in a new line of Wi-Fi phones from Samsung. The new Wi-Fi phones support wireless voice and multimedia messaging services with high voice quality, optimal range and long battery life.


RF front-end technology boosts wireless transmission for enhanced consumer experience

SiGe’s SE2521A60 RF front-end is integrated into the Samsung SMT-W5100, which is intended for small businesses, and the SMT-W6100, an IP phone for consumers. Both phones are available now.
