Signal amp operates up to 200 MHz

The TS617 broadband signal amplifier IC supports up to 200-MHz operation, satisfying faster broadband services such as 24-Mbit/s ADSL2+, and VDSL offering up to 100-Mbit/s download and upload speeds. The part is also optimized for use in broadband powerline networking using standards such as HomePlug 1.0 and HomePlugAV.

The amplifier stabilizes within only 1 μs (guaranteed by test) after entering or quitting power-down. Housed in a SO-14 package, the part features a 5 or 12-V supply, a slew rate of 450 V/μs (G = 4 and RL = 100 Ω), and an on-chip power-control block. ($1.40 ea/1,000 — available now.)
