Signal assemblies filter out crosstalk
Single-signal interconnect assemblies are now available with ferrite
beads that filter out crosstalk at specific frequencies. The beads are
attached to the subminiature coax cable portion of the assembly and can be
placed anywhere along the cable requiring additional filtering. The
assemblies are available in 1 x 1, 1 x 2, 1 x 3, and 1 x 5 configurations,
all stackable side-to-side and end-to-end on a standard 0.100-in. grid.
Standard impedances range from 50 to 100 ohms. The current rating is 1
A/contact, and dielectric withstanding voltage is 500 Vrms. The assemblies
have plated phosphor bronze contacts. Dielectric material is UL
94V-0-rated liquid-crystal polymer. (1 x 2-in. assembly with one bead, $6.
