Signal generator helps troubleshoot HDTV

For testing HDMI video displays and projectors, the 1080p TV signal generator lets users select a variety of video test patterns — including HDCP verification, three audio testing signals, a sine-wave formation, and 35 timing settings — using its menus and LCD. DVI testing is supported with an adapter.

A downloadable Windows app provides extra timing and programming controls, including EDID read/write and autoscroll timing modes. The unit comes with RCA and TOSlink audio inputs, a 6-ft HDMI cable, a 6-ft RCA cable, a 5-V supply, PAL/NTSC standard/HD video support, and an overscan option for undersized video.
