Silego Technology, Inc Introduces a Complete Line of Low Power, Low Jitter EMI Reduction Spread Spectrum Clock Generators

Santa Clara – July 16, 2008 – Silego Technology Inc, an industry leader in timing generators introduces a complete line of low power, low jitter 1x, 2x, and 4x frequency multiplier Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) reduction spread spectrum clock generators (SSCG).

SSCGs are devices that reduce EMI radiation by spreading clock energy by a fixed amount. The benefits of SSCGs are that it eliminates the need for expensive shielding, lowers BOM costs, and reduces time to market. SSCGs are used in high-speed communication routers, switches, and base stations, and consumer applications such as HDTVs, set-top boxes, and printers, and computing applications such as servers, and PCs.

Introducing the SLG4311, SLG4312, SLG4314, and SLG4318

The SLG431x is a 1x, 2x, and 4x frequency multiplication SSCG family that features low power consumption of less then 20mA, and low cycle-to-cycle jitter in the sub 100ps range with an input frequency range of 4MHz to 32MHz.

The SLG4318 is a 1x EMI reduction -1.25% SSCG with a power down mode and features both a spread spectrum output and a non-spread spectrum reference output. In addition the device’s input frequency range is from 20MHz to 40MHz, therefore, the SLG4318 is ideal for video graphics and other applications requiring -1.25% down spread.

The SLG431x and SLG4318 are offered in 8-pin SOIC package priced at $0.60, and 8-pin TSSOP priced at $0.61, and space savings 3x3x0.75mm3 TDLMP packaged priced at $0.62 each in 10,000 quantities.
