Silicon tuner eliminates spurs in analog, digital TV reception
Suited for worldwide hybrid TVs, as well as terrestrial and cable set-top boxes, the MAX3543 broadband, multistandard silicon tuner is claimed to offer best-in-class tuner performance using a standard IF architecture that ensures less than –70-dBc spurs. The devices eliminates the need for expensive external components such as SAW filters, enabling a 75% reduction in space and 25% reduction in cost over competing solutions, including can tuners.
The device is based on high-performance BiCMOS process technology and features a a 4-dB noise figure and superb blocker performance.
