The FM5150A silicon tuner IC is optimized for the global hybrid TV market, supporting cable and terrestrial TV standards worldwide. The chip receives all standard and nonstandard television signals and converts them to an intermediate frequency (IF).
Featuring the company’s Simply RF silicon tuner architecture, it eliminates expensive redundant circuits and functions in existing silicon tuners which are integrated into the most popular TV SoCs. No external transistors, pin diodes, or baluns are required and the chip features integrated tracking filters and LNA. Housed in a 32-pin QFN package, the part operates on a single 3.3-V supply.
