The 1U MicroBox MicroTCA enclosure has a side-to-side cooling configuration without bends in the airflow path so the chassis can be cooled with fans on the side of the unit. Designed to dissipate 35 W for each of six mid-size single-width Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMCs), the case has redundant hot-swappable fan trays and filters, and eight fans with individual PWM speed control, each providing 20 cfm at 1.5 in. of water.
The 45 x 465 x 210-mm unit accommodates up to 10 mid-size, single-width modules in its five module bays, which accept single or double modules in full, mid, or compact sizes. It comes with a MicroTCA carrier hub, a 384-W Power Module with monitoring and control for each AMC, and a MicroBlade JTAG switch module that provides a remote connection for programming FPGAs, downloading test vectors, upgrading software and more.
