Aimed at next-generation applications — from security cards to MP3 players to programmable card readers — the OSD-2828GDEDF06 organic LED display couples a 1.5-in.-diagonal viewing area with 262,000-color depth, a >1,000:1 contrast ratio, and 90 cd/m2 typical luminance. The 1.6-mm-thin display typically consumes less than 300 mW and costs under $10 in sample quantities.

With 160° viewability, the 128 x 128-pixel display has rise/fall times less than 50 μs regardless of ambient temperature over its −30° to 70°C operating range. The display features a Solomon Systech driver IC that supports 8-/9-bit 6800/8080 parallel or 4-wire SPI data interface.

Overall panel footprint is 33.8 (H) x 34.0 mm (V), and viewing area is 26.9 x 26.9 mm. ($9 ea / sample qty — available now.)
