The XAL1510 and XAL1580 series of high current inductors offer Isat ratings from 16.7 to 111 A and a compact 15.4 X 16.4 x 11.0 mm or 15.2 X 16.2 x 8.2 mm package size. The devices work over –40° to 125 or 90°C with Irms current.
An example 10 µH XAL1510 part has an Isat of 26.3 A, a DCR of 9 mΩ maximum, and a typical SRF of 10.1 MHz. The 111 A XAL1580 device has an inductance of 0.40 µH, a DCR of 0.70 mΩ, and a SRF of 53 MHz. Both types feature a composite core that is not subject to thermal aging issues associated with iron powder cores and they have an excellent MTBF of 38/billion hours.
