The CG-320 is the industry’s smallest rechargeable pin-shaped Li-ion battery has a 13-mAh nominal capacity with a diameter of 3.5-mm, 20-mm high, and weighs 0.6 g. The battery powers small devices such as wearable devices.
The rechargeable battery uses an exterior stainless steel-can to provide dimensional stability and prevent swelling. It is suitable for slim devices such as pen-shaped or spectacle shaped products. The battery also provides high output required for near-field communications (NFC). Mass production and shipping are planned to begin in February, 2015 with a monthly production of one hundred thousand units.
