At the INTRASME Smart Mobility Market Opportunity Workshop in Turin, Italy on September 25, successful SMEs will share their insights into emerging opportunities in intelligent transport systems (ITS). The workshop will hear from leading policy makers in ITS, research on future trends in the transport industry and experts in funding opportunities. The Smart Mobility Market Opportunity workshop will appeal to policy makers, researchers and SMEs that are keen to understand technological and commercial developments in the smart mobility supply chain.
The event will be held alongside the Torino Smart Mobility World conference, with an opportunity to network with leading companies in the field. As a sector, Smart Mobility encompasses the use of intelligent transport systems to optimize and integrate the transport system as a whole and to improve the movement of goods and people. Growth in the market is likely to be boosted by actions taken at a European and national level to reduce emissions and congestion; as well as technological advances in in-vehicle networks, vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication.
INTRASME is an EC funded research project (FP7) led by Coventry University Enterprises Ltd., dedicated to getting new transport innovations to market quickly. The project focuses on the changing role that SMEs have on innovation mechanisms for the transport sector. The project focuses on emerging technologies and opportunities across Europe and is actively studying and developing clusters of activity in West Midlands, U.K.; Piedmont, Italy; Warsaw, Poland; and Ruse, Bulgaria.
