SMD triacs incorporate logic-level gate drive
BT134-W Series triacs can be driven directly from the outputs of
logic-level devices, thereby eliminating the need for special gate-drive
circuitry. The triacs are guaranteed to trigger at gate currents as low as
5 mA, and are available with a maximum trigger threshold (IGT )
specification of 5 mA for BT134W-D devices or 10 mA for BT134W-E devices.
They have a continuous current rating of 1 A rms, a peak repetitive
current rating of 10 A, and a surge current specification
(ITSM ) of 10 A for 10 ms. The series includes devices
with blocking voltages of 500 and 600 V. ($0.45 ea/10,000–6 weeks ARO.)
