SMT planar inductors fit low-profile power modules

The Series 50002 of SMT planar inductors are designed for use in the output filter of low-profile power modules. Measuring 20 (L) x 20 (W) x 8.2 (H) mm, the inductors are rated up to 40 A, 0.9 µH or 90-A turns with resistances to 0.6 mΩ. One to 8 turns are available for inductances up to 25 µH/5A.

Operating frequency is 100 to 300 kHz, peak current of ripple is 3 A, and peak total current is 33 A. Short-term overload current is 40 A. The total losses at 80°C with a heat sink are 1.6 W with a hot spot of 100°C. ($4 ea/1,000 — available now.)
