SMT reed detect switch offers 1 million cycles

The RS Series miniature SMT reed detect switch features a magnetic reed sensor with an omnipolar magnetic orientation that enables operation with either pole of a magnet designed for long life and ease-of-use. The device features a footprint of 6.5 x 2.3 mm, sits 2.3 mm off the board, and can be top or side actuated.

The RoHS-compliant detect switch is available with either gull-wing or J-lead terminations and offers an electrical life of one million cycles. Applications include industrial sensing, factory automation equipment, limit sensing, security systems, and fan and motor controllers. ($1.37 to $1.54 ea/10,000 to 50,000 — 6 to 8 weeks ARO.)
