SMT thick film resistive couplers work to 20 GHz

The IMK2549 and IMK2550 SMT resistive couplers operate from DC to 20 GHz with a coupling range of 6 – 30 dB. The 0.120 x 0.120 x 0.035 inch devices have 50 Ω impedance, can dissipate 1 W at 100°C baseplate temperature, and operate over -55° to 150°C.  

The IMK2549 is forward version and IMK2550 is reverse. The thick film on alumina devices have and insertion loss of 1 dB or less – comparable to more complicated frequency sensitive couplers. Epoxy, wirebond, and solder attachment versions are available.
