The CX92255 complex SoC for control of multi-function printers is capable of supporting most printing technologies including tandem color laser MFPs. The IC has an ARM Cortex A8 core, with NEON technology, and features hardware accelerated image processing technologies and industry-leading color copying speeds of up to 40 ppm.
The device supports simplex and duplex scanning, has an LVDS interface plus DDR3 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and includes enhancements in motor control. It also has a memory card controller, programmable LCD interface, touch-screen support, and the ability to boot from serial NOR or NAND flash. Software for V.34 fax capability is optional. The chip takes just 100 mW in standby. ($30 ea/10,000 sampling now.)
