The MB86R24 high-performance graphics SoC targets automotive, security, and industrial applications. It combines a Cortex-A9 dual-core processor with state-of-the-art 2.5D and 3D graphics cores. The chip is able to integrate Approaching Object Detection into a 360° Wraparound View System that allows drivers to check their entire surroundings, in 3D, from any angle.
The IC features six full HD input channels and three display output channels and incorporates Imagination Technologies' POWERVRTM SGX543-MP1 graphics core, which supports OpenGL ES 2.0 and uses tile-based deferred rendering (TBDR). The chips six simultaneous camera inputs provide excellent flexibility in rendering 3D images. Samples and software available in April.
