The MB86R02 SoC has a graphics processor unit and a 32-bit ARM926EJ-S CPU core and is optimized for vehicle display applications requiring 2D/3D graphics. Key features include operation to 105°C, spread-spectrum clock generation, and a dual APIX (Automotive PIXel link) twisted-pair serial gigabit interface.
The CPU runs at 320 MHz, and the floating-point graphics unit handles display resolutions of 320 x 240 up to 1,280 x 768 and six layers of overlay in Windows. It produces full 3D effects including transformations, rotations, volume clipping and culling. The device offers APIX, RGB digital, or RSDS connections for display panels and includes a CAN bus connection. It requires a supply voltage of 3.3 and 1.8 V, uses under 1.5 W typ with APIX active, and comes in a TEBGA484 package. (From $38 ea/sample qty — available now.)
