Designed for SiliconDrive II USB Blade modules, the patent-pending SiliconBlade Socket (SBS) helps save PCB space in embedded storage system applications. Additional available pins allow several high-speed system configurations such as SD, SATA, PCI Express, XAUI, or Fiber Channel.

The lightweight, vertical socket features the company’s rugged, high-speed Edge Rate contact system, designed for impedance control and reduced broadside coupling as well as vibration dampening features. Deep polarizing guide rails add mechanical support and assure proper USB Blade insertion, while polarizing posts add stability and assure proper socket placement.
