The NAS 7820 and NAS 7821 and NAS 7825 consumer storage and networking SoCs combine a 750-MHz ARM11 CPU with hardware engines for networking, storage, and security. The chips target set-top boxes, DVRs, routers/gateways, and other networked consumer electronics.

The top end NAS 7825 version has a dual-core ARM11 processor, a network coprocessor, AES-256/SHA-1/2 hardware encryption, dual RGMII interfaces, dual SATA ports with RAID 0 and RAID 1, dual USB 2.0, and dual PCIe 1.0 ports. All three versions have a 64-bit internal bus and come in a 17 x 17-mm FBGA256 package. ($11 to $15 ea/volume qty — production, 2nd qtr.)
