The DAQFlex 1.0 software framework extends support for MCC DAQ cards to a range of operating systems, including Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows CE for the growing non-Windows, OEM, and embedded markets. The framework consists of an API, a message-based command set, and a lightweight, open-source driver that interfaces to MCC DAQ devices over physical layers such as USB, Ethernet, and others.
For ease of use, the API employs a minimal set of programming methods and the message-based command set to provide an efficient interface to DAQ devices and reduce programming complexity without limiting DAQ capability. The software is included with USB-7000 series DAQ boards and the USB-2001-TC temperature measurement card; support for additional products is planned.
