The ScanWorks boundary-scan platform now supports Avago Technologies’ embedded instrumentation technology for select ASICs. Suitable for ASICs used in high-performance server applications, Avago’s Intel Quick Path Interconnect (QPI) serializer/deserializer (SerDes) core complies with Intel’s Interconnect BIST (IBIST), which generates data that the platform will automate, access, and analyze.
The software lets customers work on IBIST-compatible Intel chipsets and Avago ASICs using the same platform. The company also expects to support IBIST-compatible ICs from other manufacturers. (ASIC-support add-on module, $8,250 available 4th qtr.)
