For the CableEye cable and wire harness tester, Version 5 software displays multiple, independent connector images with live video graphics to help visualize complex wiring. Users can drag connector images onto the left or right of the screen and, using a control button next to each connector, orient the connector to view into its pins or termination.
Cable model and test data can be compared to quickly locate wiring faults. Users may highlight wires of interest with a mouse click, then test that wire for resistance, edit wiring graphically (with a rubber-banding tool to add, change, or delete connections), and hover over components to see pop-up connector names, pin numbers, resistance values, and diode voltages.
