Used with the WaveMaster 8 Zi oscilloscopes ( http://www2.electronicproducts.com/R-article-hlrc03_feb2009-html.aspx), the QualiPHY USB3 automated compliance test package provides physical layer compliance testing for SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) in accordance with the USB-IF electrical test spec. The first platform to provide full compliance testing for USB 3.0 a new USB spec that will provide 10 times the data rate of USB 2.0 the test system enables rapid debugging of compliance failures to find the root cause of serial data problems.

The test software features automated oscilloscope control, connection diagrams showing the proper setup for each test, and report generation in HTML, XML, or PDF formats. Using SDA II and Eye Doctor II, the compliance package displays eye diagrams and jitter decomposition up to 50 times faster than other solutions, and performs integrated jitter and timing analysis for clock and data signals. The combination lets users measure jitter after Continuous Time Linear Equalization, as required for USB 3.0 compliance.
