The Zeus-IOPS family of solid-state drives features 250-Gbyte models with 3-Gbit/s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA) interfaces. The drives fit the standard 3.5-in. form factor and are built with NAND flash media.
The drives’ read and write access times are less than 20 and 60 µs. The drives perform 52,000 sustained random read IOPS and 17,000 sustained random write IOPS, with 250-Mbyte/s sustained sequential read and 200-Mbyte/s sustained sequential write speeds. ($15,000 ea/100 today, going to $7,500 ea/100 in 3rd qtr 2008—samples available now.)
