Spectrum analyzers are easy to use
The 2790 Series of portable spectrum analyzers consists of four models,
each covering different frequency ranges between 100 Hz and 325 GHz and
each with resolution bandwidths from 10 Hz to 3 MHz. An essentially
identical and very logical front-panel layout for the instruments reduces
clutter through a combination of menus, soft controls, and dedicated
controls, thus making them very easy to operate. The most commonly used
functions, such as center frequency and marker placement, are tied to
dedicated controls for direct and immediate access. Less-often-used
features are still quickly and easily accessible through a menu system
that is typically only two deep and never more than three deep.
Additionally, menus and spectra are simultaneous displayed so that the
effects of a menu selection can immediately be seen. Other important
features of each analyzer include both real-time analog and digitally
stored spectrum displays, front-panel setup storage and recall, GPIB
programmability, and plotter output. The 2792 covers a coaxial frequency
range of 10 kHz to 21 GHz with coverage to 26.5 GHz using external mixers
and resolution bandwidths from 1 kHz to 3 MHz. The 2794 covers a coaxial
frequency range of 10 kHz to 21 GHz with coverage to 325 GHz using
external mixers and resolution bandwidths from 10 Hz to 3 MHz. The 2795
has a 100-Hz to 1.8-GHz range, and the 2797 has a 100-Hz to 7.1-GHz range,
with both having resolution bandwidths from 10 Hz to 3 MHz. ($22,000 to
