Rohde & Schwarz has extended the frequency range up to 50 GHz for its family of FSV and FSVA signal and spectrum analyzers with the introduction of the FSV3050 and FSVA3050. The extension also includes an option for signal analysis up to 54 GHz.
The high-speed analyzers for lab and production can be used in the aerospace & defense industry and for 5G NR testing, now supporting the full FR2 frequency range up to 52.6 GHz.
The R&S FSV3000 is designed to help users easily set up complex measurements, said Rohde & Schwarz. It offers up to 200-MHz analysis bandwidth and phase noise of –114 dBc/Hz.
The R&S FSVA3000 offers a high dynamic range and a phase noise of -127 dBc/Hz, offering performance typically reserved for high-end instruments, said the company. Thanks to the analysis bandwidth of up to 1 GHz, users can perform demanding measurement applications such as linearizing power amplifiers, capturing short events, and characterizing frequency agile signals.
Both the FSV3000 and FSVA3000 offer options for analog and digital signal analysis including 5G NR and use event-based actions. They also feature a SCPI recorder and GUI with multi-touch.
The main driver for the 50-GHz models is 5G NR applications, said the company. The FR2 band n262 covers 47.2 – 48.2 GHz, supported by the 50-GHz models in default configuration.
The FSV3-B54G option for the FSVA enables signal analysis up to 54 GHz, which also includes the upper edge of the FR2-1 band at 52.6 GHz.
The 50-GHz signal and spectrum analyzers also offer a FSV3-B710 Enhanced Performance option. This provides enhanced phase noise performance, lower displayed average noise level (DANL), and for the FSVA, it provides a low-end frequency range extended to 2 Hz.
R&S will display the analyzers at EuMW, September 27-29, 2022, at booth D18 in the Milano Convention Centre.
